Angkor Wat temple is the largest religious structure in the world. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire by King Suryavarman II during the 12th century, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the century; as such, it is also described as a "Hindu-Buddhist" temple. Angkor Thom is a capitale city which built in late 12 century (1181-1220 A.D) in the reign of the King Jayavarman VII. Angkor mean the city, Thom mean Big because 3 km by 3 km and in total is 9 square km. Ta Prohm is was built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th century and early 13th century and was originally called Rajavihara ("Royal Monastery"). It was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and center of learning dedicated to his mother. Banteay Srei or Lady Temple is a 10th-century Hindu temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia dedicated to Shiva and Parvati. Located in the area of Angkor, it lies near the hill of Phnom Dei, 25 km (16 mi) north-east of the main group of temples that once belonged to the medieval capitals of Yaśodharapura and Angkor Thom. Banteay Srei is built largely of red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still observable today. The buildings themselves are miniature in scale, unusually so when measured by the standards of Angkorian construction.
